One of the mandatory parts of the Home Information Pack (HIP) is the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) this basically tells the potential buyer how energy efficient the property is and what levels of CO2 the property produces. The property will be given a rating from A to G which will be provided in graphical format, much the same as can be found on new 'white goods'. The EPC also offers advice on improving the home's performance rating.
**If your a Landlord, as of October 2008 an EPC will be required on rental agreements with new tenants. Got a property portfolio? Call now for a bespoke quote**
